  • Licence Application

  • when annualized NGY equals or exceeds £5 million but is less than £7.5 million - £100,000
  • if annualized NGY equals or exceed £7.5 million - £140,000

Caterory 2 Licence allows a licensee to effect gambling transactions including operating software and hardware upon which the transaction is conducted, housing and recording the gambling transaction outcomes and other activity deemed as effecting a gambling transaction. Moreover, A Category 2 licensee is enabled to operate more than one form of gambling, operate multiple gambling platforms, operate gambling on behalf of a Category 1 licensee or other gambling operators. According to the Gambling Ordinance, a category 2 licence may only be held by an Alderney company.

The annual licence fee for a Category 2 licence is £35,000 and encompasses monitoring and operating of a gambling platform run from the relevant authorized host.

Temporary Licence permits a foreign company licensee to operate both as a Category 1 eGambling licensee to contract with customers to organize and prepare the customer to gamble and as a Category 2 eGambling licensee to effect gambling transactions for a limited period only for the specific purposes. The short-term use licence requires annual fees of £10,000.

The applicant should also pay annual fee for core services associate certificate £10,000, foreign gambling associate certificate - £35,000.
