Certifications Overview

It is essential for online casinos and online poker rooms to prove that they are trustworthy in order to gain the confidence of loyal gamblers. Therefore, gambling websites must overcome security and integrity issues in order to ensure that players' gambling experiences are fast, fair and secure.

In order to get players to trust their brand, online casinos, poker rooms and sports books not only need to prevent fraud and unlawful interference, they also need to gain credible certifications. Certification companies ensure that online casino activity remains honest and also expose the gaps in the casino's security. They address security issues ranging from online fund transactions to cheating.

Ensuring the integrity of online gambling is of the utmost importance. Players must provide proof of their commitment to honest play when gambling online and gambling operators also need to prove themselves trustworthy, as online gambling has had a history of associations with bank fraud and organised crime.

Cases have included allegations of cheating and failure to pay winnings. These factors, in addition to the use of electronic random number generators (RNG) in online gambling software, have made it imperative that credible gambling websites provide evidence of their legitimacy.

Viaden Gaming have obtained three Integrity Certificates for our RNG solution. Our software was tested by WPA Audit, TST, and iTech Labs – companies acknowledged worldwide for their professionalism and objectiveness. We would be happy to advise you regarding the steps that need to be taken to gain a certificate for your online casino or poker room.

There are two major groups of certification companies that address the above factors:

  • Responsible gambling assurance companies. These ensure that online casinos comply with the laws and regulations that govern honest online gambling. They check that a casino is 100% legitimate and is committed to player protection and responsible gambling;
  • Software Testing Companies. These companies conduct software system analyses that uncover weaknesses in programming or any bias with shuffling in games.

To qualify, online casinos must have the corporate and financial backing of an online casino or poker room operator. When awarded with these certificates, online casino companies are proven to provide trustworthy and secure online gaming of the highest quality.
