A Slot machine has three spinning reels with 22 positions per reel marked with symbols. Each time a spin is made, the reels come to rest randomly with a selection of symbols showing in the game window. (download PDF)
Objective
The objective of Slots is to line up the symbols on the reels in the highest ranked combination possible.
The Game
To begin playing Slots, you must select which coin denomination you wish to play - $0.25, $1, or $5. Once you have made your selection, deposit the bill into the Slot machine by clicking on the insert bill area. The "Credits" field displays the amount of coins you have available within the machine. The "Bet" field displays the denomination of coin you have selected to bet on that spin.
You can now select either "Bet One" or "Bet Max" to choose how many coins you would like to play with up to a maximum of three coins. "Bet Max" will automatically let you play with all three coins.
After that click on the "Spin" button which will start to spin the reels. When the reels stop, your payoff will be determined from a table of winning combinations shown on the top of each machine. Any credits you win will be displayed in the "Winmeter" field.
Upon placing your next bet the credits in the "Winmeter" field will be added to your Credits (minus the amount of the bet which will be displayed in the "Bet" field). To turn your machine credits back into regular chips, click on the "Cash Out" button.
Payoffs
The payoffs for the different winning combinations are shown in a window at the top of each Slot machine.
Options
You may turn on/off the Tips, Sound and Music during the game by clicking on the "Options" button located in the lower right-hand area of the console. The option is turned on when the checkbox is checked and it is turned off when the checkbox is unchecked.
